School is closing for the next two days; Thursday 30th November and Friday 1st December.

Dear Parents / Carers,

As you may have noticed we have had some emergency building works in the school playground today, this is due to a leaking water pipe. The builders today have investigated further and advised the school that the whole pipe will now need to be replaced.

As this will necessitate a large trench through the school playground and closure of water to half the children’s toilets and the school kitchen, I have made, with the Governors permission, the difficult decision of closing the school for the next two days; Thursday 30th November and Friday 1st December.

I do understand this will cause many issues for families with child care, but it is an emergency measure that must be made in the interests of health and safety of all.

Teachers are working hard to create work to send home either this evening with your child or online via ClassDojo tomorrow.

The school office will be open over the next two days should any parent have any queries.

Sadly, the school fair will have to be postponed and a new date will be confirmed next week.

Worst of all is the fact that the EYFS & KS1 Nativity will also need to be rescheduled as the children will be missing vital practice time. The new dates will be Wednesday 13th 2pm and Thursday 14th 9.30am December, a new form will be sent out tonight to book new tickets.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Crompton
