COVID-19 Update

Dear Parents /Carers,

Re: COVID-19 Update

Firstly, I would like to thank you for your support and patience as our school continues to deal with a fast moving and, of course, concerning period which is new territory for us all.

Please take note of the following points:

  1. If your child displays any of the symptoms (click here for government information), however mild, they must remain at home for 7 days. Please let us know through the normal absence procedures.
  2. We will review staffing every day and be flexible with our arrangements to try and remain open. However, if we do not have adequate staffing levels to ensure the safety of all students, it may be necessary to close for some or all classes. We will follow the same procedures as we would for any exceptional school closure.  At this current time this is highly unlikely however, this is unknown territory for all of us.
  3. If your child is showing symptoms whilst in school, a member of the school leadership team will speak to them and be in contact with you to make suitable arrangements.

I would like to thank all of you for your continued support during this time. We will endeavour to keep you updated as much as possible as this situation continues to develop. We will also ensure that the school remains a calm, happy and safe learning environment, with student wellbeing at the centre of all our decisions.

Best wishes,

Michelle Hughes

Headteacher
