The Governing Body of Thaxted Primary School is the admission authority for the school. Essex County Council is the first point of contact should you wish to apply for a place in reception at our school. Please use the link below to go to the appropriate page on the Essex County Council website.
The school handles in-year admission requests directly. If you are interested in a place at the school and it is not for your child to start in reception, please contact the school for further instructions.

Autumn Term prospective parents school visits:
Anyone interested in a school place for Reception 2024 is welcome to book a slot on one of our tours with the Headteacher, Mrs Crompton.
Please contact the school office to book a slot.
Tours are approx. 30mins long.
